- demyelination & increased sensitization for stimuli occurs after a direct nerve root trauma
Clinical manifestations
- radiculopathy
- functional recover of spinal nerve root injury is slow
Management
- physical therapy
- nonsteroid anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
- glucocorticoids
- surgery
