Introduction
2 sections:
- patient: 9 item cognitive test score correct items, total score = 9
- informant: (presumably caregiver) 6 historical questions score an answer of 'no', total score = 6
Higher score indicates better performance.
Items & questions derived from:
- Cambridge cognitive examination
- Psychogeriatric assessment scale
- Instrumental activities of daily living (iADL)
Time to administer:
- 4 minutes for patient section
- 2 minutes for informant section
- 6 minutes total
In the diagnosis of dementia: (using a cutoff score of 4)
- sensitivity: 85%
- specificity: 86%
