Introduction
Curriculum generally consists of 2 years of undergraduate science training, 1 year of pre-clinical diadactic study & 9-15 months of physician-supervised clinical education. Most states require candidates to pass the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants examination.
Practice of physician assistants is specifically under the direction & supervision of a physician. Activities are generally similar to those of a nurse practitioner.
