Pharmacology
Tradename: NutreStore
Indications
- used to reduce severity of mucositis caused by chemotherapy
- short-bowel syndrome
- treatment of irritable bowel syndrome after GI infection[3]
- treatment of sickle cell disease[2]
Dosage
- 5-15 grams PO BID based on body weight
- mix in 8 oz (240 mL) of cold or room temperature beverage or 4-6 oz of food before ingestion
