Introduction

The strong compound ligament that attaches the clavicle to the coracoid process.

Function

• the coracoclavicular ligament passively suspends the free upper limb from the strut formed by the clavicle
• it also prevents dislocation of the acromioclavicular joint

• it consists of the conoid ligament & trapezoid ligament
