Introduction

One of the longitudinal & oblique fibrous bands reinforcing the plantar aspects of the tarsometatarsal joints (joints betweenthe metatarsals & cuboid bone &/or cunieform bone).

Medial bands arestrongest; they become progressively weaker laterally.
