Introduction

A thin, double-layered peritoneal fold formed by the ventral mesentery of the stomach.

Constituents

• hepatogastric ligament
• hepatoduodenal ligament

Course

It passes from:

• the lesser curvature of the stomach &
• the upper border of the proximal duodenum
  • 2 cm distal to pyloris

to the:

• liver
  • margins of the porta hepatis
  • into depth of fissure of ductus venosus
