Origin

anterior surface of the upper 1/3 of the ulna

Insertion

• bases of distal phalanges of 4 fingers, by tendons perforating those of the flexor digitorum superficialis

Action

flexes distal interphalangeal joint of fingers

Innervation

ulnar nerve & median nerve
