Introduction

A cylindric, erectile body in the female. It rarely exceeds 2 cm in size. It is situated at the anterior most part of the vulva & projects between the lamina of the labia minora. It is the female homolog of the penis, but is not perforated by the urethra or possess a corpus spongiosum.
