visual accomodation (a, acc)

Introduction

The increase in thickness & convexity of the crystalline lens in response to contraction of the ciliary muscle. This serves to keep in focus on the retina an external object moving towards the subject (technically subject's eye).

Miosis & visual accomodation are controlled by the oculomotor nerve (parasympathetic).
