Introduction

Made up of all the nerves outside the CNS.

Includes:- -> cranial nerves -> spinal nerves Only 2 neurotransmitters of the peripheral nervous system acetylcholine norepinephrine (sympathetic fibers) The 1st synapse out of the central nervous systems always uses the neurotransmitter acetylcholine.
