Introduction

Classification presumptive. Dust mites are an important respiratory allergen.

Epidemiology

  • require high humidity
  • found in all human habitations
  • most significant habititat is bedding & fabric-upholstered furniture
  • feed on mold & epidermal scale shed by humans
