Introduction
A turbid white to pale yellow (milk-like) fluid take up by the lacteals from the small intestine during digestion. The chyle is then transported through the lymphatic system to enter the systemic circulation through the thoracic duct. The milky appearance is due to chylomicrons in the lymph.
