sulbactam

Introduction

Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor similar in structure to clavulanate. It may be administered orally or parenterally along with a beta-lactam antibiotic. It is combined with ampicillin for IM/IV use in ampicillin sulbactam (Unasyn).
