Pathology
- aggressive clinical course
- corresponds histologically to WHO grade III.
Microscopic pathology
- patches or extensive sheets of rhabdoid cells - rounded tumor cells with eccentric nuclei, often prominent nucleolus, prominent inclusion-like eosinophilic cytoplasm with whorled intermediate filaments
- high proliferative indices (most)
- additional histologic features of malignancy (most)
