Genetics
- autosomal dominant
- associated with defects in HOXD13
Clinical manifestations
- metacarpal & metatarsal fusion
- metacarpals & metatarsals most commonly fused are the 4th & 5th or the 3rd & 4th
- soft tissue syndactyly usually affects the 3rd & 4th fingers & the 2nd & 3rd toes
