Introduction

(pronounced 'pow') A 70-75 amino-acid residue domain found upstream of a homeobox domain in some eukaryotic transcription factors. It is thought to confer high-affinity site-specific DNA-binding & to mediate cooperative protein-protein interaction on DNA.
