Indications
- pre-operative evaluation*
- intrathoracic procedure
- history of cardiovascular disease
- history of pulmonary disease
- no longer indicated for smokers without cardiopulmonary disease[3]
- history of prior malignancy
* patients with chest radiograph within 6 months of planned procedure need not have it repeated unless clinically indicated
