Introduction

Alignment & hydrogen bonding of complementary strands of DNA or DNA & RNA. The process is cooperative. Initially, binding is slow & reversible. As hydrogen bonding between base pairs form in strands complementary & aligned, binding or annealing occurs rapidly.
