Function
- inhibits signal transduction by increasing GTPase activity of G-alpha subunits increasing the amount of inactive GDP-bound form
- associates specifically with activated forms of G protein subunits Gi-alpha & Gz-alpha
- does not interact with Gs-alpha subunit
- activity on Gz-alpha is inhibited by palmitoylation of the G-protein
- isoform 3 is phosphorylated on Ser-16
