Function

  • catalyzes both phosphatidylcholine & phosphatidylethanolamine biosynthesis from CDP-choline & CDP-ethanolamine, respectively
  • role in protein-dependent process of phospholipid transport to distribute phosphatidyl choline to the lumenal surface
  • higher cholinephosphotransferase activity than ethanolaminephosphotransferase activity
