• promotes in vitro polymerization of tubulin into double- walled tubules & polymorphic aggregates or bundled stabilized microtubule blocks
• may form dimers
• binds tubulin, binding inhibited by GTP
• interacts with GSK3, poor substrate for GSK3
• phosphorylated by TPK2

Pathology

• when overexpressed, inhibits mitotic spindle assembly & nuclear envelope breakdown, apparently without affecting other cellular event
