Introduction
Abnormal red muscle fibers found in:
- MERFF syndrome
- Kearns-Sayre syndrome[1]
- statin & fibrate myopathy (up to 50%)[2]
- some cases of fibromyalgia[3]
- up to 1% of muscle fibers in normal individuals[4]
