Hyaline thickening of arterioles, with atheroma.

Etiology

• hypertension
• atherosclerosis

Pathology

• hyaline gradually extends over entire circumference of arteriole, replacing all structures but endothelium
• atheroma formation

Complications

• lacunar infarcts
