Function

  • specifically removes C-terminal basic residues (Arg or Lys) from peptides & proteins
  • role in the control of peptide hormone & growth factor activity at the cell surface, & in the membrane-localized degradation of extracellular proteins (putative)

Cofactor: binds 1 Zn+2 per subunit
