Expression

• predominantly expressed in dendritic cells
• detected in brain & skeletal muscle
• highly expressed in mature dendritic cells
• expressed a t a lower level in immature dendritic cells
• not expressed in monocytes & B-cells

Pathology

• defects in DCNP1 may be a cause of susceptibility to major depression
