Introduction
Subunit of oligosaccharyltransferase complex that inititates N-glycosylation. Also plays anti-apoptotic role during development. Homozygous mutants die in utero.
Function
- subunit of oligosaccharyltransferase complex that inititates N-glycosylation
- plays anti-apoptotic role during development; loss of the DAD1 protein triggers apoptosis (putative)
Structure
belongs to the DAD/OST2 family
Compartment
membrane (putative)
