Function
- hydrolyzes N-acyl-phosphatidylethanolamines to produce N-acylethanolamines & phosphatidic acid
- responsible for the generation of anandamide (N-arachidonoylethanolamine), the ligand of cannabinoid & vanilloid receptors (putative)
- activity is stimulated by divalent cations
Cofactor: binds 1 or 2 Zn+2 per subunit (putative)
