Introduction

Glucocorticoid receptor binds in association with other transcription factors (c-jun & AP1). Glucocorticoid receptor binding in conjunction with the c-jun homodimer enhances & in connection with AP1 (c-fos/c-jun heterodimer) represses transcription. c-jun homodimer alone binds to p1fG3 & weakly enhances transcription, whereas AP-1 alone binds to p1fG3 & strongly enhances transcription.
