Function
- ligand for members of the frizzled family
- probable developmental protein
- may be a signaling molecule which affects the development of discrete regions of tissues
- likely to signal over only few cell diameters (putative)
Structure
belongs to the Wnt family
Compartment
Expression
- detected in most adult tissues
- highest levels were found in heart & skeletal muscle
- low levels are found in brain
- infant brain has higher levels of WNT10B than adult brain
