Function
- adapter protein implicated in regulation of both general & specialized signaling pathways
- binds to many protein, usually by recognition of a phospho-Ser or phospho-Thr motif
- binding generally results in modulation of the activity of the binding partner
- isoform delta differs from isoform zeta in being phosphorylated (putative)
Structure
- homodimer.
- belongs to the 14-3-3 family
Compartment
Notes
- originally thought to have phospholipase A2 activity[2]
