Introduction
An abnormality (generally inflammation) at the site of insertion of muscle tendons & ligaments into bones or joint capsules (enthesis).
Etiology
- adhesive capsulitis
- rotator cuff tendonitis
- plantar fasciitis
- Achilles' tendonitis
- spinal enthesopathy
- bursitis
Pathology
- calcification of tendons/ligaments which may be source of pain
