Function
- required for efficient N-glycosylation
- necessary for maintaining optimal levels of dolichol-linked oligosaccharides
- hydrolyzes dolichyl pyrophosphate much faster than dolichyl monophosphate
- does not act on phosphatidate
- protein modification; protein glycosylation
dolichyl diphosphate + H2O = dolichyl phosphate + phosphate
