Introduction
Occupational therapists perform evaluations in collaboration with a client & target information specific to desired outcomes.
The two elements of the occupational therapy evaluation are:
- the occupational profile
- activities of daily living
- professional activities
- social activities
- hobbies
- the analysis of occupational performance
Notes
- occupational therapists & physical therapists can predict which patients can have successful skilled nursing facility (SNF) to home discharges
- medical providers & social workers can not[2][3][4]
- occupational therapists with additional training & subspecialty certification in driver evaluation can can evaluate patient & vehicle & advise adjustments or adaptive equipment (mirrors) to compensate deficits[2]
