Indications

• skin test in the diagnosis of tuberculosis
• aid in assessment of cell-mediated immunity

Contraindications

• NOT contraindicated for BCG-vaccinated patients

Procedure

• 5 TU intradermally
• Read 48-72 hours later
• 250 TU if no response to 5 TU
