• hydrolyzes acyl-CoA thioesters (in vitro)
• preference for substrates with medium chain length (C10-C14)
• inactive towards substrates with C18 or C20 aliphatic chains
• physiological function is not known

• KM=10.1 uM for decanoyl-CoA
• Vmax=7.1 umol/min/mg enzyme
