homonymous hemianopia (HH)

Introduction

Defective vision or blindness affecting the right or left halves of the visual fields of both eyes.

Etiology

• suggests a lesion in the visual pathways posterior to the optic chiasm
  • optic tract
  • lateral geniculate nucleus
  • optic radiation
  • occipital lobe
