- rare
Pathology
- alloimmune thrombocytopenia
- patients own & donor platelets destroyed
- occurs in some patients lacking the PLA-1 platelet antigen
Clinical manifestations
- occurs 2-7[1] or 5-12[2] days after blood transfusion or platelet transfusion
