Introduction
Region of chromosome X & chromosome Y.
Located at termini of long & short arms of X & Y chromosomes.
Exon duplication, exon shuffling & gene fusion seem to be common characteristics of the PAR1 region.
Pathology:
- deletion of the PAR1 causes male infertility
