Epidemiology
- extremely rare
Pathology
- full-thickness cleft within the cerebral hemispheres clefts lined with gray matter, most commonly involve the parasylvian regions
- large portions of cerebral hemispheres may be absent & replaced by CSF
Genetics
- associated with defects in EMX2
