Contraindications

-infected, unstageable ulcer

Mechanism of action

• dressings are applied moist & removed when dry
• devitalized tissue adheres to dried dressing & is removed with the dressing

Complications

• use as a wound dressing delays wound healing & increases pain with dressing changes (GRS9)
