segmental medullary artery

Introduction

A large caliber spinal artery that courses centrally along a dorsal or ventral root. Only 4/9 radicular arteries are segmental medullary arteries, found in the lower cervical, lower thoracic & upper lumbar levels.

dorsal or ventral root & surrounding meninges
