Clinical manifestations
- pain with flexion at the elbow &/or supination of the forearm
- pain is reproduced by resisted forward flexion of the shoulder & forearm supination
- pain aggravated by lifting, overhead reaching[3]
Management
- identify & eliminate provocative activities
- 7 days of rest, no lifting
- physical therapy (after week of rest) focusing on stretching the biceps tendon
- glucocorticoid injection into biceps tendon sheath
