Introduction
One of the 2 terminal lymph vessels, a short trunk ca. 2cm in length.
- formed by the union of the right jugular lymphatic vessel & vessels from the lymph nodes of the right superior limb, thoracic wall & both lungs
- lies on the right side of the root of the neck & empties into the right brachiocephalic or subclavian vein
Frequently, no right lymphatic duct is formed with the vessels that normally contribute to its formation entering the venous system independently.
