Introduction
Posterior tubercle:
A protuberance of the posterior extremity of the arch of the atlas, a rudiment of the spinous process.
- gives attachment to musculus rectus capitis posterior minor
Anterior tubercle:
- a conical protuberance on the anterior surface of the arch of the atlas
