Indications
- tool for identifying patients at low risk for true penicillin allergies
Procedure
- 2 points for allergy event <= 5 years ago
- 2 points for anaphylaxis/angioedema or severe cutaneous adverse reaction
- 1 point if treatment was required for allergy episode
Interpretation
- a score of < 3 has perfect negative predictive value[2]
* specificity is 45%, ~1/2 patients without confirmed allergy have scores >= 3
