Introduction
QR stands for 'Quick Relief'
Dosage
Directions:
- apply to bleeding wound
- keep scab dry for a few hours
- scab may be removed with hydrogen peroxide if sutures are required
Pharmacokinetics
- generally works in < 1 minute
Mechanism of action
- consists of a powder that contains a hydrophilic polymer & K+ salt(s)
- the powder applied to a bleeding wound combines with blood to form a scab
