Indications
- prediction of independent ambulation for stroke patients after a course of inpatient rehabilitation[1]
- can be used to assess functional equilibrium, which requires both static & dynamic balance
Procedure
- 12 items for evaluating balance:
- 5 static items
- 7 dynamic items
Interpretation
- 3 points each item, total score = 36
- cut-off scores
- 3.5 points for static PASS
- 8.5 points for dynamic PASS
- 12.5 points for total PASS
