Epidemiology
- common among gay & bisexual men & transgender people worldwide
Adverse effects
- isopropyl nitrite, a component of poppers appears to be toxic to the fovea and can cause maculopathy[2]
- disrupted central vision, blurriness, scotoma
- vision tends to improve after cessation of use
