Introduction
MACRA makes 3 changes to how Medicare reimburses Medicare providers[1]:
- ends sustainable growth rate formula for determining payment
- creates new framework for rewarding providers for giving better care, not just more care through
- Advanced Alternative Payment Models
- Merit-based Incentive Payment System
- combines existing quality reporting systems into one new system
